Performed Guided test. Found Crankcase ventilation valve failed causing fault codes p0171 & p0174. Found actual values for the Evaporative emission control system pressure sensor erratic indicating a fault with the sensor or the circuit. Provided estimate for repairs. Found command for thermostat actuation not possible. Found Volvo technical bulletin TJ 30268.6.1 dated May 24th 2023 describing guest concern, fault code & repair as replacement of the engine thermostat. Removed electrical connector for thermostat. Found corrosion in electrical connector. Disconnected vehicle battery ground. Raised vehicle on hoist. Removed engine under car panel. Drained engine coolant from radiator. Removed Turbo-charger charge air pipe at throttle body. Removed throttle body. Replaced engine coolant thermostat. Re-installed removed items in reverse order & torqued to specification. Erased fault codes. Performed coolant fill & bleeding procedure. Test drove vehicle after repair & rechecked for fault codes & coolant leaks. Found no fault codes or coolant leaks after repair. Found Active misfire in cylinder #1. Removed decorative cover Swapped ignition coils & erased fault codes. Test drove vehicle. Found misfire followed ignition coil indicating a bad ignition coil. The thermostat fault code remained active the entire time. Recommended replacement of all the ignition coils & spark plugs since guest stated the plugs had not been replaced. Connected vehicle battery charger. Connected Xentry diagnostic equipment & performed short test. Found fault code: P008A00 The pressure in the fuel low pressure circuit is too low. Fault code was active & stored in N118 – control unit 'fuel pump' (fscu08) control unit. Performed guided test. Found low pressure fuel pump failed the output test. Recommended replacement of the low pressure fuel pump. Guest declined repair at this time.
- After performing coolant system pressurized leak test, found coolant cooling pipe & hose next to low temperature circuit radiator, heater hoses at firewall & water pump leaking coolant. Guest authorized replacement of the coolant cooling pipe & hose next to low temperature circuit radiator & heater hose at firewall. Raised vehicle on hoist. Vehicle did not have engine under car panels. Drained remaining coolant from radiator. Replaced cooling pipe & hose next to low temperature circuit radiator. Replaced heater hose next to firewall. Added correct Mercedes-Benz approved coolant mixture to radiator. NO coolant leaks found from replaced hoses. Engine water pump still leaking. Guest is aware & declined additional repair.

Connected vehicle battery charger. Connected diagnostic equipment & performed short test. Found no fault codes related to customer concern. Connected a/c recovery, recycle & recharge machine. Compared actual values of a/c system pressure sensor to a/c recovery, recycle & recharge machine. Recovered the Freon from the vehicle. Recovered 105 grams of Freon. Specification is 650 grams of R-134a Freon. Performed vacuum leak test & vehicle passed. Added correct amount of R-134a Freon (650 grams). Checked operation of a/c system. Found low side was 35 PSI & high side was 180 PSI. Found A/C operating as designed after repair. Checked for signs of Freon leaks. Found no leaks present at this time. Center vent temperature was 51~ Fahrenheit. No fault codes found after repair.
- Checked operation of the trunk. Found trunk not operating with button on the instrument panel, on the trunk lid or on the remote key. While performing A/C repair, checked to see if valet mode was activated & if button operation was showing when pressed. Found buttons operating & control unit seeing values for buttons. Checked trunk latch & found trunk latch making noise when button depressed, but latch not opening. Recommended replacement of trunk latch. Guest declined repair at this time.

Performed brake fluid service. Adjusted brake fluid reservoir level. Adjusted tire pressures to 36 psi front & 36 psi rear. Front brake pads at 10 mm. Rear brake pads at 6 mm. Miles in 62687 / miles out 62689.
- Performed 725.0 transmission service with gold transmission fluid. Raised vehicle on hoist. Drained transmission oil. Drained transmission torque converter. Removed & re-installed transmission oil pan. Replaced transmission oil pan with integrated filter. Installed new swirl pipe for ultrasonic measurement. Installed new overflow pipe. Installed new transmission oil pan bolts & torqued to 4nm & 90° angle. Added 6 liters of transmission oil. Connected sds. Performed manual fill & bleed procedure as outlined by sds. Corrected fluid level with sds after fill & bleed procedure. No fluid leaks found after repairs. Test drove vehicle after repair. Vehicle shifting as designed after repair. Re-installed removed engine under car panels in reverse order. Test drove vehicle after repairs & rechecked for fluid leaks. No fluid leaks found after repairs. Miles in: 86314, Miles out: 86316.

Test drove vehicle after repairs. Rechecked for fluid leaks. No fluid leaks found after repair. Miles in: 163304, miles out: 163306.
