Services Performed
- Guest states they were driving the vehicle & saw a lot of white smoke coming from under the hood. Pressurize coolant system & Diagnose coolant leak.
- Guest states convertible top inoperative. Check & advise.
- Performed vehicle inspection. Found engine coolant reservoir empty. Added water to coolant reservoir. Performed coolant pressure test. Found coolant leaking under the wiper blade motor assembly at the pass through pipe for the heater core. Disconnected wiper arms. Removed windshield cowling. Removed wiper motor assembly. Replaced pass through pipe for the heater core at firewall. Re-installed removed items in reverse order. Added Mercedes-Benz approved coolant mixture to the coolant reservoir & bled coolant circuit. Checked for fluid leaks after repair. No fluid leaks found after repair.
- During multi-point inspection, found vibration at idle in gear. Upon further inspection, found engine mounts collapsed & causing vibration at idle. Disconnected vehicle battery ground. Raised vehicle on hoist. Supported engine with engine hoist. Replaced engine mounts. Removed transmission cross member. Replaced transmission mount. Torqued all mounting bolts to specification. No vibration felt after repair.
